We had a full table of 10 tonight.  Nice to make a final table for a change!   LOL.  Well actually it was a good night for me because I finished 5th in the 9pm $6.50 bounty! Cashed a cool 292.  Gotta like that!  Anyway back to the Joker room. Thanks to -ManBearPig- for requesting me to have a tournament.  it's nice to have good supporters! A big shout out to michele1024 for being the first to register! hehe.  After mbp when through all that effort to get me to have the tourney, I think he went out after about 10 minutes-lol.  Here's your top 3:

Well folks 12 people sat down tonight to battle it out for the weekly Joker title.  Some crazy action as usual was going on.  HurqueRock was just knocking out people left and right and catching some good cards.  He could win his 7th Joker room tourney if he hangs on to the lead.  Well two were out quick and we got to the final table right away.  KingFlop was our last place finisher tonight. :)   Here's our top 4:

Well - once I finally home from work and then with a little bit help from michele1024 (thanks!) we had a nice little crowd of 13 people.  A big welcome to first time Gus Handsom.  Poor guy went out first though.  Cheers mate.  Unfortunately for me I was out quick too.  Of course that's cause I was being nice to my peeps. :)  Riiiiight.   After Kryptic was knocked out we had our final table.  After a long day on the job and a sore back, dave143 was out next.  Last weeks winner michele was out next.  1010 didn't hold up vs the AQ when the A hit on the river.  There were several times when pairs beat pairs.  That's always tough.   My man Agro was out next and the RipleyBP.  big_lar8 lost to dudley_ with 33 vs KK.  burldog44 got knocked out next by dudley_ with two pair over two pair.   We're now down to four:

Well- HooterHanna was our bubble girl tonight.  A valiant effort in what I think was her first Joker tourney.  Boom.  Dudley_ is gone in third.  Hazy hit's a sly straight and Dudley bluffs at it and Hazy knocks him out.  Hazy's getting the cards and playing them well.  It's now a showdown between Hazy and Al-Swearengen (aka manbearpig).  Hazy was wearing him down but Al just had a nice almost double up.  We're lookin at Hazy 13580 to Al's 5100.   Al's making a comeback and takes the lead.  Break time.  Well- three hands after the break and Hazy is all in with 77.  Al show AQ. Race time. Q on the flop and boom Al-Swearengen takes it!

A nice crowd of 18 sat down tonight looking for that Joker title.  Welcome back to Annieboom who's been MIA for a while.  Nice to see her at the table and actually playing!   deadmanshand_ was out first tonight.  Sometimes it just isn't your night.  Sigh.  Well I've had so many distractions, I didn't keep up with the action.   All I remember is getting beat by overs twice!  Boom won a big pot off me with AA over QQ and then michele1024 knocked me out with AA over KK!! Well - we finally had a decent tourney again.  I got the tournament request in early and UB set it up right.  :)  13 peeps circled up to try and win poker's biggest.. um well win some bragging rights anyway.  Kingflop was out first with a tough beat.  Hazy_cat and TxMom were out next and we were down to the final table.  Things moved along pretty quickly.  -Manbearpig- went out, followed by smartin and then newcomer DStyle4.  Agro was next, Annieboom (missed ya boom) and then mellow_yellow.  We were down to 4.  tommy1053 had a good lead but had a couple of bad beat to knock him down and then finally out.   MisterSGB knocked out RipleyBP and it was head up, me (gjones) vs MisterSGB.  We had pretty even chip stack with Mister having the slight lead.  It went back and forth a bit.  Mister has a real solid game and will raise a bit preflop instead of just limping.  That kept things real interesting.  As thousands looked on, well maybe about 2, we dueled on.  Mister won a nice pot when I had AQ and nothing flopped.  He bet, I decided to fold and he showed 99.   We dueled a little more until hand 89 of the final table came up.   MisterSGB called the blind.  I raised it to 600 and he called.  The flop was 954.  I checked (a slow play) and Mister raised to 1200.  I doubled it (shouldn't that have scared him??) :).  Mister calls.  The turn was a 6.  I moved in for 4415 not wanting him to catch any draws.  He called.  He had middle pair with a J5.  Doh!  I had him nailed with KK!!  Well UB didn't think so.  The river was a 5 and he hit trips.  Doh doh!  I was gone and MisterSGB won the tourney.  Afterwords, Mister said he had put me on AK.  It was a great play by him and a nice showing.  Congrats to MisterSGB!

Well it was a total screw up tonight.  I emailed UB this morning to set up the tourney.  I usually do it a few days sooner, but after going to NY I was late in getting the email written.  I didn't have time to check the tourney set up until I got home.  I specified 9:30 but they set it up for 9.  When I got home about 9:10, it was already going.  I hadn't signed up myself either, so I wasn't even in it.   So I can't hardly blame UB, even though I specified 9:30, it was really my fault.

 

To my surprise we actually had 6 people in the tournament.  When I signed in to UB, three were already gone.  Rankdizzle had a pretty good lead on dudley_ and tommyguner03 had some chips but had to sit out.  So it was heads up.  After tommy finally blinded out, Rank won the tourney on Quad K's.  He was all in with KK and dudley_ had Ax.  The flop was KKx and it was over.  A pretty fitting ending to a poorly run tourney.  I guess I need to either run these properly or turn out the light in the Joker room.  Thanks to those who played and let's get it going back next week.

Well I'm going to keep this one short tonight, I just don't feel liking tracking the hands and writing!  LOL.  We had 12 peeps, another small crowd.   Tell your friends your family and let's some players here!  Actually a small crowd is kind of fun, nice to chat with everyone.  However, it doesn't take much time to get to the final table and by then UB doesn't get the OBS chat set up in time.  They've got to get that done automatically somehow!   We're missing annieboom tonight.  Of course the chat is much less and not as much fun as when she's here!  Hopefully she's back soon, we miss you boom!   With only 12 peeps, it's a little easier to make the final table, but two still don't and I always hate to see them go out so I'll give them a shout out tonight.  They were Hazy_Cat and Deadmanshand_!   Some big action.  I just knocked out Pa with AQ to his AK by hitting trip Q's.  Then -ManBearPig- takes a big pot off of bugman22j and they both had QQ. Bug layed it down after mbp went all in after the flop.  It was for a lot of chips, so probably a semi easy decision for bug to lay it down.  There's always the next hand if you're still in.   Well I knocked out papoorboy in 6th place and then mellow_yellow in 5th.  Then Tommy1053 knocked me out just out of th money again when he slowplayed his trip 8s which turned into a full house.  Bugman just got knocked out in 3rd with 88 vs mbp's QQ.   We've got a great battle for first going on now.  -manbearpig- had a big lead on tommy1053, lost it, got back to even and now tommy is ahead 10k to 6k.  MBP gets the lead back and then takes the win!  After an AK4 flop, both guys got their money in.  But alas for tommy1053 who had the king, mbp shows the A and it holds up.  Congrats to -manbearpig- for winning tonights Joker room!!!

Well the good news tonight was we all made the final table! :)  A small crowd of 10 sat down to duke it out.  Lot of fireworks goin on and fortunately I was lighting them early.  I kept getting the best of Lil Mem early and then also knocked out Dudley_ with AK to his A5.  -ManBearPig- was having some good cards too and then knocked out Lil Mem with AK vs Lil Mem's A4.  Tough night for LilMem.  Just couldn't get the cards. But hey- the beauty of poker- there's always next week!!  Poor annieboom signed up again and was a no show.  Well we've lost another to a connection.  Poor RipleyBP was on dial up and he's gone for now.   ManBear just took out last weeks winner DonVitoGuy with AA to AJ.  Ah- Ripley is back- at least for now.  Nice job for mellow. Wow- he was down to 390 chips and has doubled up twice to 1940.  He's back in the ball game!  Boom - dang- SpideyTwo just took out bugman22j with A2 vs 1010.   He hit 2 on the flop and an A on the turn.  Sometimes poker can be a rough game.  Ripley is now gone.  Just when you think JJ is good, someone else has QQ.  GG Rip.   Boom is out in 5th.  It's money time.

Yes it's true.   I'm out.  I moved with 55 and ManBearPig had 99.  Doh- i'm gone.   Mellow moves QQ- surely he's got it. Spideytwo moves in with K9 and ManBearPig calls with QdJd.   Mellow doesn't got.  S2 hits the straight!  Gotta love poker!  GG mellow.  MBP got 10k and S2 has 2k.  It's lookin MBP, but you never know.  OOOh S2 picks up a couple hands and then doubles up and boom!  S2 just wins it!  He gets a QQ and moves in and MBP calls with an A!

We had a good 1st tournament of 2008.  14 people were back in action in the Jokerroom.   I got off to a good start at the expense of IcyRavenHawk.  So did Kryptic and Icy was first to go.   Smartin was down to her last to her last 65 chips early, but then tripled up and is starting to make a comeback.  O man- Smartin moved all in with 255 chips and Hazy called.  Smartin showed JJ and Hazy QJ.  Of course we know what happens next--  Q on the flop.  UB can be so cruel...  Spideytwo and Kryptic went out next and we had our final table.  Poor annieboom didn't get much rest throughout the day and was a no show.   I had the chip lead going into the final table, but it didn't last long.  Sometimes getting cards early can be a curse.  As my stack was whittling down, I looked up and saw KK.  But alas, bugman22j had AA and I was history.   A few hands later RipleyBP moved all in when a Q and rags hit the flop.  Kingflop called and showed AQ.  Ripley had Q10 and was shortly elimimated.  That left our top 4:

Blinds are at 150-300 and we're at our 118th hand of the final table.  Mellow_Yellow moves all in, but no callers.  bugman just won a nice hand and is now at 5300 in chips.  It's a tight race for the money.  Mellow is the low stack now and hangin in there.  Mellow makes another move with 1600 in chips, but Kingflop just can't make the call from the big blind.  Ooo- Mellow doubles up in hnad   .  He moves in for 2005 and DonVito call.  Mellow's AT holds up to Don's K7d suited.  Mellow is now a playa.  Pretty standard play going on now-- we're up to hand 160.  Dang we're almost all even here.  Well, after a break blinds are 200-400.  Mellow's the low man again.  Hey- all guys this time!  Actually I think Blondee might have been the only female tonight!    Well- Mellow makes a move and Don calls.  Mellow shows KK!  Don shows QJ.  It's UB time.  The flop is Q5Q and Mellow is on life support.  Mellow is gone and we got our money.  Don just took out KingFlop with a higher straight- ouch. Don had 58 and King had 57.  King has the nuts after the flop but just can't hold on.  We are down to two.  Hand 204 bugman doubles up, then doubles up again with A5.   We have a game folks!   Don has 11k to bugs 8k.  Hand 223 was the big blow to bugman.  Bugman calls the BB, Don raises and then Bug comes over the top all in!  A6 for Bug vs A9 for Don and Don takes the huge pot and wins the Jokerroom tourney!  I believe that's his first time to play the Jokerroom as well.  Nice going.

We had a nice crowd of 21 people tonight.   Welcome to SusieQ who played her first Jokers tourney!   The bad news was she was out first. 

 

Smartin was first to go at the final table only 5 hands in.  Her AA got cracked my Agro and his AJ when he flopped trips.  It was quite a night for hazy_cat.  Every 10 minutes we kept hearing of these horrible beats he was taking at the tables.   QQ vs QJ, KK vs KJ, etc.  However, he was very hot in the Joker room.  I'm sure he would have rather had it the other way around though...  One by one he knocked them out.  He may have almost knocked at the whole final table.  He had a total of 11 bounties for the night.   Flushes, trips, hittin the A.  He did it in every way.  Here's your top money 3:  Hazy_cat, Agro and icyravenhawk.    Hazy then knocks out icy and then Agro with another flush on the river.  Man- that's catchin some cards.   Well Hazy- keep playing the way you do, you know you'll be fine.

A nice crowd of 16 sat down tonight.  We got off to an interesting start when a guy was asking michele1024 for money.  I thought originally he knew here, because the way he talked it sure sounded like it.   At first he was friendly, but it didn't take him long to lay on the crap.   We all basically told him to get lost, and finally he got the hint when I told him I was reporting him to UB (which I did).   I did find out later that michele didn't know him, which figures.  There sure are a bunch of idiots out there!!

 

Ok now to the action--

 

Newcomer Paradoxical was out first.  al-swearengen was out next with with QQ, but it was good with __Kryptic__'s KK.  UB can be brutal sometimes.   I'm running pretty bad right now myself, and went out with KJ with a J on the flop and lost to AJ.   Welcome tonight to glttt who played in his first Joker tourney.  One by one they fell and we were down to the bubble four:

 

IcyRavenHawk, annieboom, smartin and michele1024.  I tell ya, these ladies are tough.  I put these ladies up against anybody in virtual poker land.  Man (pun intended), they really play well.  It's always a tough battle for those top 3 places, and tonight was no different.  Icy had a pretty big chip lead with over 10k in chips, but the ladies kept knocking him down.  Dadgummit- he just went out in fourth.  We have three women at the top!  Michele has the lead with 12k, then smart with 6700 and then annieboom with 4500.   michele kept trying to wear them down, but smartin and boom were hangin tough.   After about 25 hands between the three of them they stand just about the same.   Ok- we got a big hand.  Smartin raises to 600 and annie moves all in for 4040.  Smartin thinks it over and calls.  Smartin has KQ and annie has 77.  It's a race.  Big flop!  The flop is K76 and Annie has caught trips and smartin catches K's with two diamonds to a flush draw.  The drama of it all!  Well no more diamonds or kind and annie's hand holds up and she doubles up.  It's break time.   michele has 13850, annieboom has 8155 and smartin 1350.  Well smartin couldn't last too long after the break.  Michele just knocked her out. Great game smartin! It's down to 2.  Michele 15k in chips and boom has 7200.  So far boom as made a move.  We're all tied now in chips!  Good battle here.  Bam- Boom just won it!  Boom raised to 1300.  michele reraised to 2200 and boom calls.  The flop is 2cAhQc.  michele bets, booms reraises, michele is all in!   boom shows KQ and michele shows KJ.  michele was trying to bluff a bit.   Michele gets no help and annieboom wins the hand and the tourney.  Congrats you two!!

13 people sat down tonight to go for the top Joker.  As usual there were some really good hands.  You just never know what to expect. 

 

Before I get started- a couple of Kudos.  Congrats to Michele1024 who won the 7:30 rebuy the other night and won something like $1700.  Congrats as well to Chip Leigh who came in 1st in a $35 bounty.  He cashed a cool $2900.  Wow!    Congrats as well to burldog44 who qualified for a $250 entry in December. 

 

Michele had a lot of the luck at the final table.  She had AA at least twice.  Once when I raised with JJ and she reraised.  Luckily I folded.  However, she got me soon after with JJ when I moved all in with 33.  Why is it the other person always has the overpair??  LOL.  Isn't it easier to remember the ones you lost than the ones you won?  We're down to 4 right now.  KingFlop (who got unlucky several times) went out in 5th.  Here's our 4:

1st hand out of the break michele flops trip K's with one in her hand.  It must be her night.  Man- she's really impressive as a player. deadmanshand_ just took out mellow with Q5 (hitting two pair) over mellow's A6.  Dang- next hand deadman just takes out blondee with 66 vs Q3.  We're already heads up!  Michele has a 2-1 chip lead with 12k to 6k.    Deadman just flip flops the lead with michele.  Deadman had 99 and michele had A6.  After a 6 on the flop and deadman moving all in michele went for the risk and called.  But deadman's 9's held.  Michele takes a hand and it's dead ~ 12900 and michele 6500.   Michele has played a few nice hands and now we're even in chips- 9k each.  A great battle going on here..  Well - it's over.  Deadman raises pre flop to 1300.  Michele makes a move and reraises. Deadman puts her all in and she calls.  deadman shows AQ and michele show KQ.   Michele didn't catch the K and we have our winner!  It's deadmanshand_!  Great job to everyone.

Hey folks,

 

13 people sat down tonight to duke it out for top Joker.  Fittingly Annieboom took the title!     It was nice seeing saxman1959 tonight, although he went out first.  It took a bit of time to get 3 out to hit the final table.  Strange not having manbearpig at the top, since he had won the last two in a row.  One by one, they went and we were down to the last four.  Although I like and enjoy everyone I play with, I have to admit that tonight was how I would envision it being.  Annieboom, bsufan (aka Idblondee) and Mellow_yellow are definitely my closest buddies and it was a blast fighting it out with them for the title.  Boom had a pretty good lead and the other 3 of us were fairly close in chips.   I took out Blondee first and then had Annie dead when my KK was all in against her AJ.  But alas, she hit the straight and I was gone.   At this point mellow didn't have much of a chance with annie's chip stack, but he valiantly dueled until his death about 10 hands later.  Annieboom was the winner! 

 

I appreciate everyone supporting the Joker tournament!   I'd love to get the tourney up to about 20 peeps, so spread the word and play when you can!

Happy Halloween everyone!

 

We had a small turnout of 11 tonight.  Although small-- we had a great time.  Unfortunately michele1024 was first to go and we were already at the final table.   Holland13 was out next.   We had a big all in battle next and -ManBearPig- took out Mellow_Yellow and Hazy_Cat.  ManBear had KK, Mellow AK and Hazy QJ.  What in the heck was hazy doin here?? hehe.  ManBear took a pretty good lead after that hand.  Falkor is a close 2nd.  I just took out msrinny by catching a K on the river- she had A7.  Agro and I just split a hand both with K10's.  We both caught the straight on the river, but not the nuts.  Agro moved in and I called-- glad he didn't have Q10!  Pa just got knocked out by Agro with 22 v 99.   I just doubled up and so did agro.  5 left and no one is ready to go.  We've all got 2500 or so in chips except for manbear who has 4500.  Falkor just took a nice pot from newcomer 5oon3r_L33t.   ManBear just took out 5oon with KK vs AJ and we're down to 4.  Manbear has been on fire the last couple weeks... just flopped a flush and takes a pot.  Dadgummit.  It's bubble time.  I'm hoping to outlast Agro for 3rd here.  And I do!  Just doubled up with QQ over ManBears AJ.  Then knocked Agro out with a lucky catch with KJ (J on the river) and he had 88.  Then doh!  I have 1010 and raise.  ManBear calls.  Flop is 645. ManBear bets and I move all in.  Boom!  3 on the turn and I'm gone.   Just four hands later Falkor moves in.  ManBear calls.  Falkor looking good with AQ vs Manbear's A7.  But tonight it was all ManBear.  He hits the 7 on the flop and it's all over.  ManBear was just unstoppable tonight.  No one was beatin' him!

Well I'm sitting downstairs on the couch watching the World Series on the big screen.   Was initially eating pizza while playing.  It's very hard to chat with pizza and laptop on your lap.   Despite the fact that is was the World Series we had a good turnout of 15.  It's kind of hard to log the hands to because my laptop screen can only show one screen.  Everytime I get to typing the poker table screen pops up.   So it was quick to the final table, and now we're down to 5.  Michele1024 and --ManBearPig-- are on top with 7500.  I just hit a full house to double up over shinydome and I'm in 3rd.  MisterSGB and shinydome (first timer) are holding up the bottom.  Michele just knocked out shinydome and we're down to 4.  One more to the money.  I hate this spot... I double up SGB with my AJ vs his 55 and he hits a straight.  It's not looking good for me now.  Michele takes the lead with 11k.  SGB has pulled into 2nd.  ManBear has quieted a bit and is in 3rd.  I'm hangin on for life.  I luck out with a straight and double up.  SGB just takes the lead with a double up over michele.  I move with A9 - no callers.  Wow- I get QQ and SGB has moved in.  I call and ManBear moves all in too!  SGB folds and ManBear shows JJ!  We're all even in chips now.  What a game now.   A big hand just before the break - SGB hits a Kh flush and michele needed the board to pair.  I needed one heart (I had Ah) but it was too much to call and I folded. SGB double up with the flush when Michele didn't hit the boat.  She's crippled now with 975.  she moves all in after break and I call with A10h.   I take out Michele and then go out myself with 44 to ManBear's QQ.  Quickly then ManBear catches trip 6's on turn to knock out MisterSGB.  --ManBearPig-- wins it!!!
